Dean's Israel Adventures

My name is Dean Unterslak,

I made Aliya in 2012 from South Africa. I combined yeshiva studies in Gush Etzion with a meaningful service as a lone soldier in the IDF’s Paratroopers Brigade. 

After being involved in the 2014 war in Gaza’s Protective Edge and being injured, I found great meaning through guiding people through the country I call home.

My passion is to bring the ancient, biblical stories and modern Zionism alive through touring, experiencing and volunteering in our ancient Jewish homeland.

I proudly went back to fight since October 7th, returning to Gaza, the place I was injured as well as fighting in Lebanon and Samaria. 

There is no bigger joy to me than serving and keeping my nation safe, whilst teaching about the importance of Israel to my tourists.
